- EAFF is a non-political, non-profit and a democratic apex organization of all Framers of Eastern Africa. Its role is to voice legitimate concerns and interests of farmers of the region with the aim of enhancing regional cohesiveness and social-economic status of the farmers. The Federation, apart from voicing views and demands of the farmers on crosscutting issues will also endeavor to promote regional integration of the farmers through trade and good neighbourness.
- The CARDI mission is to contribute to the sustainable economic well-being of Caribbean people by the generation and transfer of appropriate technology through research and development with the agricultural value chain.
- SPC is an international organisation that provides technical assistance, policy advice, training and research services to 22 Pacific Island countries and territories in areas such as health, human development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries. All of these areas are critical to the eight million people of the Pacific, who continue to face challenges from their remote locations and scarce resources, as well as new challenges from growing populations, decreasing food security and the effects of climate change.
- SACAU is a regional farmers’organization that was established in 1992. Its membership is open to national farmers’unions and regional commodity associations in Southern Africa. It is involved in agricultural development in the region by strengthening the capacities of farmers’orgnizations, by providing a collective voice for farmers on regional and international matters, and by providing agriculture related information to its members and others stakeholders.
- The Association of African Cotton Producers was created on December 22, 2004 in Cotonou (Benin). Confronted by the crisis in the cotton sector which affects approximately 20 million people in West and Central Africa, cotton producers of twelve west and central African countries (Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Senegal, Chad, Togo) met on December 21 and 22 in 2004 to analyze the crisis which affects the sector and to define together mobilization, positioning and actions’ strategies to enable them to defend their interests.
- The Hub’s goal is to assist West and Central African stakeholders (States, Inter-governmental Organisations, Civil Society Organisations and Development Partners) to promote coherence in rural development programmes worldwide.
- The Community of Practices on Horticulure - Cop Horti - is an initiative to set up a network of horticultural supply chain professionals, based on a collaborative web platform allowing them to learn about, exchange and coordinate activities designed to strengthen horticultural product value chains.
- The Cotton Exporter’s Guide is a reference book that contains pragmatic and operational information on the international cotton market. The objective is to provide all those engaged in producing and exporting cotton with a thorough and down-to-earth understanding of all aspects of the international cotton trade.
- SODEFITEX, Société de Développement des Fibres Textiles (Company for the development of textile fibres) has been created on 15 March 1974 with a majority of public funds. On 13 November 2003, the company has been privatised and became SOCIÉTÉ DE DÉVELOPPEMENT ET DES FIBRES TEXTILES. SODEFITEX's mission is to support the coton industry of Sénégal. This is the driving force behind the integrated development of eastern Senegal and Upper Casamance.
- The EU-Africa Partnership on Cotton was established to address the concerns raised by the fall of cotton prices during and beyond the 1990’s. With an “Action Framework”, the partnership comprises of two components : ‘Trade’ and ‘Development’ which aims at establishing more equitable trade and in enhancing the competitiveness and value addition of African cotton by optimizing the impact on the producer’s yields.
