Kenya, Monbassa: Regional Weather Index Insurance

ARMT will be holding a five-day training event for insurance companies, meteorological agencies and insurance regulators from across East Africa (Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Rwanda). The training is focused on introducing the concept of index insurance for agriculture and providing the technical expertise required to design and implement such contracts. Advice is also given on the regulatory aspects of index insurance and the various means for marketing such products.
